Sr. Electrical Engineer/Project Manager
Sr. Electrical Engineer and Project Manager for industrial instrumentation and control electronics. Position encompasses hands-on engineering and project management for product development projects and manufacturing quality. Candidates must have strong hardware engineering skills including proven ability to successfully develop advanced technical solutions on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on engineering and management of electrical engineering projects from concept to completion
- Develop comprehensive product specification, validation plans and manufacturing test tools
- Obtain international product approvals such as FM/CSA/ATEX for industrial hazardous areas
- Coordinate and conduct design reviews, internal and with contractors or customers, where necessary
- Interface directly with customers in areas such as plant systems integration support, product operation, installation, functionality and new application development
- Proven ability to design for manufacturing cost control and high levels of quality
- Research, specify and apply the latest technologies available to new product and feature designs
- Lead and motivate a small engineering and tech support team
- Potential for occasional travel
Requirements:
- BSEE; Masters preferred
- 5-10+ years experience , 2-5+ years direct project management experience
- Excellent analytical and circuit design skills including low level precision analog, microcontroller and DSP
- Solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing concepts and solutions
- Extremely organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience in industrial sensor design, automation controller design or related
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a variety of manufacturing environments and ability to work closely with other departments
